ChaLean Extreme Day 5 Burn Circuit 3

So my workout was pretty good the only thing is that I had to go lighter on some of my workouts.  I think I unjured a muscle on my right arm because depending on how I move my arm it hurts like where the tricep muscle is...It's not even like soreness like muscle soreness from working out.  It affects my Range of motion a little.  I'm gonna just have to continue lifting lighter on the workouts that are affected by my injury.

So rather than that today I weighed myself since I've been weighing myself every monday on sparkpeople apart from my Chalean extreme tracking and since 6/22/09 I have lost 10lbs.  I am very proud of myself.  What I have to work on  is my mantra on how this is NOT a diet but a new healthy lifestyle.  I am worried that once I get to my goal weight or where I need to be I will go off track and go into a comfort zone.

I was also invited out to eat with my parents at the buffet.  At first I was a little hesitant about it because...you know it's a buffet.  All you can eat come on that is hard.  But it wasn't  and do you know why?   Because I planned ahead.  I went on the website and looked at the food's nutritional value and I wrote down what I should eat for dinner.  So I had a small salad; turkey with corn, green beans, and steamed carrots; and ended it with no fat soft served ice cream and cheesecake which I shared half of each with my 4 yo daughter.  Over all a great meal I even was able to come home to have a snack of sunchips and pretzels.  I'm pretty proud of myself.

ChaLean Extreme Day 4 - Burn Intervals and Ab Burner

Wow Burn Intervals was the most intense Cardio workout I have done since I was in the Army.  Jumping  squats, jumping jacks, lunges and an infinity number of bicep curls oh my.  Purpose of this is fat burning and muscular endurance.  Let me tell you it was tough there where times that I couldn't even finish a whole set.  I'm sure I'll get stronger and it will get easier.  The Ab Burner was good as well some of them I really tried giving it my all before reaching Muscle Failure, but the only thing I had the most trouble was the last workout that required balance on all fours...I'm horrible at balancing myself.  But man I was dripping in sweat, it was literally pouring off of me.  I'm glad though cause I know it is burning fat and the less fat I have the more my muscles will show once they are built.  Like Chalene Johnson says Muscle Burns fat so I know that the Burn Circuits and the added cardio I do at night are really going to give me great results...I hope.  Only time and hardwork will tell if this is true.  I'm not following Chalene's meal plan because I am balancing and watching my intake through Sparkpeople.com.  I'm only helping that it is sufficient. I can't wait to weigh and measure myself tomorrow on Sparkpeople.  I know I'm suppose to do it every 30 days for Chalean Extreme but I enjoy doing it ever week it motivates me.

Day 3 of ChaLean extreme - Burn Circuit 2

I'm so glad that I am not sore from yesterdays 4 mile WATP walk.  So I'm doing the workout and I still don't like the bands.  It's a little easier cause the Gold Gym's bands have this black mesh to protect it from breaking from being stepped on but I really effected the flexibility of it so I cut it off.  It's still cumbersome cause I have to pause fix the positioning of my bands then if there isn't enough resistance I have to fix the placement of my footing.  At the end of my workout what should have been a 30 min workout turns into 1hour cause I have to constantly pause to fix my bands. Like I make sure to watch Band Basics which goes over how to do the workouts with the bands before you actually do it.  It's helpful but, idk maybe I'm just being picky I'm still using it though cause I said that I was going to use the bands the whole way through.  Also right now I'm using for my heaviest resistance the Black (Ultra Heavy) and Red (Medium) resistance together.  I'm just concerned that I'm going to out strength my workout and my results won't be as great.  Good thing I'm doing my nightly cardio...tonight is 2 miles of WATP.  I better do it tonight to!!!

Chalean Extreme Day 2...again- 4 Miles of Walk away the pounds

Here I am posting again on the same day.  Well today I decided that I was going to do my Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds Intensity walk: Super Challenge 4 Mile walk.  I was thinking that I think the best way to get some results with my ChaLean workout would be to add some cardio.  I want to do at least 30 min of cardio in the afternoon and think it would prob be better if I did it with Leslie.  After a while I get bored/annoyed by her as much as I love her workouts, but this time was no exception but what I did was I lowered the volume (almost to mute) and played some Nelly Furtado in the background and I did.  My kids even joined me.  I usually hate working out when the kids are around cause they tend to get in my way and distract me (darn ADD can't focus on more than one thing at the same time ) but with Walk away the pounds it's so simple that I don't get off track when they join me.  So I did the 1hour long 4 mile video cause I didn't workout yesterday even though I wanted to.  I figure this way I can make up for my workout that I missed yesterday.  I know doing my cardio workouts are going to help me out a lot.  Especially since cardio helps decrease body fat, burns calories, and increases muscular endurance.  So after that walk I feel more sore.  I hope I don't over work myself, I'd hate to injure myself and then delay my progress. 

Day 2- I'm sore

Wow my arms really hurt and the rest of my body I didn't think that I was going to be so sore because I didn't feel that the resistance bands were really doing their job.  I went out to Sports Authority yesterday and bought myself some 10 lbs dumbells.  I just don't know if I should keep em or take them back if I'm going to continue to use the bands.  My thought was to use the bands from beginning to end, since I've never seen a review or result page with ppl who would ONLY use the bands.  I have a 30 day return window and I kept my reciept plus IDK if 10lbs will be too light since I'm suppose to be getting stronger soon.  My thought would be if I use them and don't need them with in that window maybe I can take it back and get heavier once....maybe I'll go today and take it back.  I mean Dick's Sporting good's had this

for 64.99 Maybe I can go to the store later and return the dumbells and get that set I mean it's 40lbs and might serve my purpose better.  Or just use the bands until the end of the program see my results and then redo the program with weights.

Day one of ChaLean Extreme done

Done with the ChaLean extreme workout and I honestly enjoyed it.  The only only thing is that I think the resistance bands that I am using are too weak for me.  I'm using the Gold's Gyms Long Series resistance tube Kit.

Resistance Levels
  • Red- Medium
  • Blue - Heavy
  • Black- Ultra heavy
So I'm going through them and honestly I did the black and I didn't even go to muscle failure.  I mean I don't think I'm that strong you now but apparently next time I'm going to have to combine the Red and Black for more resistance.  I'm just worried that when I get stronger this product isn't going to do anything for me which sux because I was hoping to use the bands the whole way through so that I didn't have to go spend money on weights. Well I'm going to have to have breakfast.  Oh yea I'm not following the Food guide since I'm already trying to balance my meals with sparkpeople.com

I finally got my Chalean Extreme

Day one starts tomorrow considering that I got my package so late cause apparently UPS doesn't know where my house is and I had to physically wait outside for my order.  All and all I'm happy I can get crackin'. So I already posted my before picture but I'm did my measurements.  And here they are
  • Waist     -   35.5 in.
  • Hips       -   40 in
  • Abductors- 37.5 in.
  • Chest     -   39.5
  • R. Arm   -  13 in.
  • L. Arm   -  12.5 in
  • Weight   - 156 lbs.
  • Body Fat % - 21% - Which is Ideal on the Chart...I'm surprised that it isn't higher but I'm happy with what it is.
Yup and these are my thighs.  I'm really hoping that I stick this through, cause I want to see major changes to my body and need to.  I will do it....I'm going to read my Muscle Burns fat guidebook I also have to do the fit test so I'll come back and tell you the results of that..:D

Okay Fit test completed....I am using the gold gym's resistance bands and I tried the medium, heavy, and ultra heavy turns out that I max out with the heavy resistance bands...go me right...


 

 

So here are my Fit test results: 
  • Push ups: 8
  • Crunches: 20 
  • Squats: 18
  • Forearm Plank: 35:10 secs
  • Overhead shoulder press: Ultra Heavy Band
  • Bicep Curl: Ultra Heavy Band aswellSit and Reach: 1in past my toes....not very flexible I know

Few more days until I start my Chalean extreme program

So according to my email my order is expected on August 27th. I checked it on the UPS tracking system and it's right now in Pennsylvania and got there at midnight. Yesterday I did the turbo jam learn and burn. Might as well do some exercising until I get my chalean extreme in.


I'm excited though to start my chalean extreme. I really need to get into shape and is hoping that I will help flatten my mommy belly that I have. I'm going to post my before picture.

Not the greatest or flattering but I'm really hoping to stick to this program and eat a healthy meal. My caloric intake is suppose to be 1200-1550 according to sparkpeople.com. I use sparkpeople a lot it is a great website for learning how to live a healthy lifestyle. So I'm a go don't know what else to say I'm very new to this. So buh-bye!
Also Currently my weight in this picture is 158.2 and I will take my measurements and weight when I get my package. :D
