P90X day 16 Cardio X instead of Plyometrics

I’m not happy I did this workout. I did it because I wanted to see how it is compared to Plyo and I’m not complaining about the workout itself cause I know it’s targeted to people just starting out. I’m just upset that I did it cause as hard as Plyo is I know I could have brought it or atleast keep up with most of it. I say Cardio X overall is good for people JUST starting out and are not used to working out so hard.

Next time I def need to do the Plyometrics.

Day 15 of P90X - Shoulders and arms

It's 4:00pm and I still haven't even started my workout yet. Just wanted to stop by and say that so far I'm really enjoying P90X. I can't wait until I come out of class to get my workout started. It is a hard workout, but it's also what you make of it. My day has been hectic and I really need to make an effort of getting up at atleast 6:00am and doing P90X first before anything else like checking the computer. Damn computer lol, it's a blessing and a curse. So I've been eating a lot healthier since I've been focusing on calorie counting again. Haven't gone over my calories and for that I am happy. I love the cuts that are beginning to form on my arms. I love showing them off to my boyfriend and my mom. I think they are sick of it, but it excites me :D. Okay well I'm going to go I have class soon. I will try to come back after school and write. Sometimes I can't cause my boyfriend needs attention, so I get sidetracked. My mission for today is to come home, change, and workout without anything sidetracking me.

Okay I am back after doing Chest and Back and Ab Ripper X. I did very well today and made an effort to push myself a little past my threshold. It was when Tony mentioned that people usually stop way before their supposed to because they get something in their heads that tells them it hurts. So I pushed my self harder when I got to that point where I thought I could do any more. I'm glad I did because I improved in all the workout except for one. My numbers keep dropping for the Divebomber Push Ups. By the time I get to those it's hard to go from "under the fence" to "over the fence". I also up'd my resistance bands from using the blue (heavy resistance) to using the red (medium resistance) and blue bands combined. So I felt it a lot more in my chest muscles.

I was very sore at the end though, but when I finished I took my protein shake and feel a lot better now. I improved a bit in Ab Ripper X by raising up my hands for the "In and Out" exercise and by folding my legs indian style for the "Crossed Leg/Wide Leg Sit-Up".

Overall I am very proud of myself that I Brought the X in P90X.

Day 11 of P90X Did Yoga now to do Turbo Jam - Need a new eating game plan

Man this is tough eating by the P90X Nutrition plan. I was doing fine and losing weight before with calorie counting, but I find myself not tracking and gaining weight and over eating with this Plan. I know that it is crucial to follow the P90X plain while doing the program to get the best results, but I honestly thing I'm going back to tracking on Sparkpeople. Plus I haven't been on SP in a while and it's cause I haven't been tracking. So I think I'm just going to eat the way I was before with Sparkpeople but just increase my calorie intake by 200- 300 calories so I'm eating around 1800 calories.

So I've been over eating yesterday and today. I did Turbo Jam yesterday to burn the excess calories. I think that I'm going to do the same right after this blog. I'm going to do the Cardio Party that is 45 mins long. I might even use the weighted gloves to burn more. So yea everyone that is the deal.

Day 6 of P90X Kenpo later tonight

I haven't done Kenpo yet cause my morning is busy and I don't have time for it quite yet. I'm going to my niece's birthday party at the Y and they are having it at the pool. This is great cause I can take my daughter swimming with me and I can get some added resistance/cardio training in the pool. I'm going to have too look up workouts I can do in a swimming pool so I can get some exercise in. So I'm not sure when the last time I wrote was so I will just update on my week so far, sorry if it is a repeat.

So I did yoga on Thursday I believe and that was fun. The hardest part for me was the half moon and twisting moon which is a move where you have to lift you arm and leg at the same time. Crazy right? I know it's just my first week though and my balance and coordination aren't the best to start off with. The next day though my back was sore I figure it's from all the salutations. I didn't expect to get sore from it but it was a nice little surprise. Yesterday I did Legs and Back and Ooo I feel it today. My glutes are sore and my back is feeling it as well. I'm not using the pull up bar nor did I get it because I have no room for it. So I got a door anchor on ebay for 3 bucks (free shipping) and used my Gold's Gym Resistance Tubing. I didn't think I would have gotten a great workout because it seemed a bit easy, but today proved me wrong. I first thought of stepping up the resistance on the tubings, but know I don't think that is necessary.

So like I said earlier tonight I'm doing Kenpo X so I'll try to remember to post an update. I just hope I won't be so tired I don't blog. So I have to go wash my hair now and get ready. Take care everyone. Also if you are interested in getting P90X please visit my site at http://www.beachbodycoach.com/jenndelgado

Day 2 of P90x Plyometrics

This workout kicked my butt. I finished drenched in sweat. It was far from being cute. If you don't know what Plyometrics is, it's jump training. It's explosive movements where you have to jump A LOT. It was tough but I hung in there. I did like a good 85% percent of the workout. And that doesn't mean I didn't give it my all, just means I took extended breaks, modified my movements, and if I couldn't modify I still moved around (cause some movement is better than no movement). Even in Basic Training I have never had that GREAT of a workout in my life at all. It was good.

Day one of P90X

I know I didn't finish my Clx program but during my two weeks of recovering my arm injury I decided to start P90X. I have been seeing all of those crazy success stories on Youtube for it and I keep telling myself that I want to be that success story. So I did Chest & Back today and it wasn't so tough but I know I'm a feel it tomorrow. So far my eating is on point today, but I think I have a slight headache due to a lack of carbs. So tomorrow is Plyometrics and I'm afraid of it, esp since it's all explosive movements and I hate burpees. That's okay I gotta take it a day at a time and just BRING IT!!! ><

I walked 5 Miles with Walk Away the Pounds

So yea I'm not doing Chalean at the moment because I pulled a muscle in my left shoulder. I decided to do my WATP DvDs instead. I figure I don't want to fall out of the habit of not working out so I'm doing this instead. I had to really force myself cause I haven't worked out in about 3-4 days, and you know how hard it is to get back into it after a few days of stopping. You don't really feel like jumping back in. Well I didn't either but I knew I needed too. I'm afraid of not working out and then not watching my eating either. My eating hasn't been great either. I've been eating within my calorie range but I keep sticking my hands in the the plastic pumpkin baskets if you know what I mean.

So while doing the workouts I tried limiting my arm movement and making them shorter. At the end though I just stopped moving my arms cause I could feel it starting to affect my shoulder. Anyways I got a good workout except my HR monitor said I burned like 900 calories. That can't be right you know cause that's like A LOT but I tracked it in my fitness tracker under "High Impact Aerobics" and it calculated a little under 500 cals which seems about right. Anywho I need to shower and head to bed. I feel so great pumping out that workout. Feel accomplished.
